Telemedicine Resources Available Anywhere

  • Circle Medical: This option has both an Alexandria location and Washington DC location if you need in person care, but can also support fully telehealth appointments.  This is the best of both worlds and can include Primary Care and Hormone Therapy. As an added bonus they do accept some PPO insurance

  • Plume: Access to Hormone Replacement Therapy online, $99 a month subscription but medication through your insurance benefits.  Members get letter writing services and can apply for their Hormone Replacement Therapy Access Fund.

  • Folx: Access to Hormone Replacement Therapy Online.  Insurance accepted includes: Evernorth/Cigna and Optum/United Healthcare.

  • Safe Space Nova: Safe Space NOVA is dedicated to providing a safe, accepting, and supportive environment to combat social stigmas, bullying, and other challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth. This includes programing such as: "You + Me = We: Queer Sex Ed" a Healthy Relationship Program, LGBTQIA+ Virtual Hang Sunday Group, and LGBTQIA+ Youth Social Activities Group for youth ages 14-18.  Additionally they hold an annual Pride Prom, with the next event being scheduled for June 16, 2023.

  • The Transgender Assistance Program of Virginia - TAP VA is an all volunteer, trans led  501(c)(3) non-profit  organization created to end homelessness within the transgender community in Virginia. TAPVA provides educational opportunities around the important fact that trans rights are human rights by explaining the intersectionality between homelessness, discrimination, socioeconomic status and racism within the trans community in Virginia. Their goal is to offer safe emergency housing to homeless transgender adults in Virginia, and to help them find the additional resources they need to remove the barriers to self-sufficiency while we continue to provide education surrounding the issues trans people face on a daily basis.

  • Equality NoVa is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves Northern Virginia’s LGBTQ and Allies. It is a strong beacon for equality. It’s a nonpartisan organization open to all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning (LGBTQ) people and allies. It provides socials, fosters civic awareness, and engages in community service. 

  • NOVA Pride is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with a mission to cultivate and grow a coalition to educate, advocate and celebrate in service to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) community of Northern Virginia and our straight Allies. A young, grassroots, 100% volunteer-run organization, NOVA Pride provides a unified voice for, and a local base to, LGBTQ+ Northern Virginians - enhancing our visibility and relevance in the DMV region. NOVA Pride brings a sense of community to families, youth, and people of all scenes and sexualities through its year-round activity, including an annual festival every fall.

  • Equality Virginia (EV) is a 501(c)(3) organization that understands that LGBTQ Virginians, from youth to seniors, continue to experience violence, discrimination, and disparities, particularly transgender people and people of color.  Their work is to Advance LGBTQ Protections, Legislation Bill Tracker that impacts the LGBTQ+ Community, and additional resources and information for folks moving to Virginia, accessing legal advice, and those dealing with discrimination.
